Artist's Comments

The Palace Green library of Durham University. This is an HDR made using Photomatix from 8 RAW files.

I've changed the uploaded picture 15.02.08 - I've only corrected the colour cast, Hope you all don't mind!

Ah, I've been meaning to take a nice shot of the library - it's a lovely building! Nice details here. The colours are quite overwhelming.

Nice job.
Looks like you used a PC lens on this...

The HDR rendering looks great, especially the sky.

I've been having some trouble with that in my last two shots... [link] [link] .

I am curious about the sign or plaque over the door at the far right & what looks like an envelope tucked into the door jamb on the far left.

They both have the same cyan tint as whatever that reflection is in the windows at first floor, middle.

Is that their real color, or an artifact from the HDR maybe?

I'm asking because there's a piece of paper posted in some framed box at the right, which looks whiter... more natural.
... so that's why I'm wondering about the incongruity.

Again... nice piece of work :)

Ah, I think it lookss like I have a pc lens because I took it with a mild telephoto and it's not very tall! Thanks for the praise. When I'm doing HDR I try and do it fairly subtly, to avoid all those crazy artifacts that can show up.
